NTU Renegades

Worcester Royals

On the 23rd of January, the Worcester Royals went to Nottingham to play the NTU Renegades. The Royals opened play with a decent kick return from Chris Mortimer, and the offence took to the field. The opening drive was unsuccessful, with the offence struggling against a physical Renegades defence.
NTU’s offence also struggled on their first drive, with Richard Penwright catching the first of his two interceptions of the day. The Royals took to the field once more and again struggled to gain any momentum, and had to punt the ball away.
Once NTU got the ball back however, they started to run the ball well, and their strong running back broke numerous tackles and scored two touchdowns in quick succession.
After these two touchdowns, the Royals heads dropped slightly, and even with a good completion form Mike Burnage to Dael Gethings the Royals still could not put points on the board. The game progressed in this way, with NTU scoring more points, and the game ended 33-0 to the Renegades.
