Worcester Royals
The Staffordshire Stallions played Worcester Royals at Blessed Edwards school, in the second home game of the season for the Royals. The game started brightly for both teams defensive units, as both teams struggled to move the ball early on.
However, the Royals picked up three key injuries, and Emil Ljung with a torn tendon, Andrew Leigh with the broken ribs and Fran Rizzo with a broken collarbone. With these three key players out, the royals defence struggled and Stafford started to run away with the game.
Tempers were flying high in the third quarter, and a fight broke out between the two teams over a very trivial matter. The referees calmed the situation down and the game continued until the final whistle without further incident. The final score was 33-0 to the Stallions.
