Coventry Jets

The Coventry Jets travelled to the Worcester Royals, who were confident of recording their first win of the season. The Royals started the game with the ball, and immediately drove down the pitch, with good throwing from Matt Aston and good catching from wide receiver Sam Emblen.

Unfortunately, the Royals couldn’t turn this progress into points, and the Coventry Jets took the ball. With the defence on the field missing key players due to injury, the Royals struggled to contain the Jets strong running game, and allowed numerous touchdowns through.

The offence continued to play well, and Chris Mortimer scored two 50 plus yard touchdowns in the first half. However, the Jets would not be denied a comprehensive victory, and the final score was 61-13.
